Brantley Gilbert Releases Video for You Don’t Know Her Like I Do. Brantley Gilbert has released a video for “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do“. This particular track comes off of the deluxe edition of Gilbert’s September release, Halfway to Heaven. It is one of three additional tracks you won’t find on the original version of the album. The video for the track seems to actually use a lot of the same footage you see in the live version of his “Country Must Be Country Wide” video. Most likely, they just pulled footage from the same concert. Regardless, Gilbert’s fans are some of the most loyal around, and they will probably not care about a little repeat footage. Toby Keith’s Red Solo Cup: The Glee Version

Toby Keith’s Red Solo Cup Gets A Glee Make-over. Well, we told you a couple weeks ago that the popular teen musical dramedy, Glee, had picked up Toby Keith‘s new single “Red Solo Cup” to feature in an upcoming episode. As a Glee fan (and clearly a country music fan), I was definitely intrigued. The Glee-ified rendition of Keith’s light-hearted tune is amusing, but I don’t know if it does the song justice. I am not suggesting that Toby’s new song is on its way to becoming a country classic, and I don’t think he even intended for it to be. Its clearly a fun, goof-off song, and I don’t think the Glee version is really all that fun. So, I’m a little let down. As usual though, no need to take my word for it. Earlier this year Tim was sued by Curb, the label where it all started for him 21 years ago, for breach of contract. Now he is not completely out of the dirty water yet, there will be another trial in July. But until then Tim can sing where he wants and record what he wants!

Sugarland Front Woman Jennifer Nettles Ties The Knot! Jennifer Nettles got hitched this past Saturday to boyfriend of two years, Justin Miller. The ceremony was a small affair with family and friends, including band mate Kristian Bush, in Tennessee. Nettles, or should we say Miller, will be performing tomorrow with Lady Gaga at the Grammy Nomination Concert and will host the CMA Country Christmas special this Thursday on ABC at 9pm (ET). Sarah Darling Films Her Music Video In The Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Black River Entertainment artist Sarah Darling has a special holiday treat for fans. She has filmed her music video for “O Holy Night” in the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, being the first artist to ever do so! “It is our privilege to make Schermerhorn Symphony Center available for this wonderful project. Our beautiful building hosts all kinds of music throughout the year, and the classically inspired architecture and intimate setting of the Lara Turner Concert Hall provides the perfect backdrop for a truly Music City holiday greeting!” -Alan Valentine, Nashville Symphony President and CEO Along with her new holiday single, Darling will join Mayor Karl Dean and Parade Grand Marshal and legendary country star, Vince Gill on December 2 as part of Nashville’s tree lighting ceremony. Kicking off the 59th Annual Piedmont Natural Gas Christmas Parade, she will sing “O Holy Night” at the lighting of the 40ft Norway spruce. It will take place at Nashville’s Public Square, beginning at 6:30. The parade will follow at 7 and is free to the public. Her recording of “O Holy Night” is available to purchase where digital music is sold.

Lauren Alaina Performs Classic Country At Special Country Music: In Performance at the White House. Lauren Alaina has been on the country scene for less than a year and has already made huge strides as a performer. Granted, as Season 10 runner-up, she is heavily backed by the media giants behind American Idol, but it is impossible to deny that she has a wealth of talent. Another stand-out trait the 16-year old possesses is a surprising amount of grace and poise. Despite the fact that she’s a teenager, Lauren behaves like a pro at every performance or appearance. This was certainly put to the test at her recent gig on the PBS special, Country Music: In Performance at the White House, and she passed with flying colors. Not only was she performing for the President of the United States, a huge honor in and of itself, but she also held her own with some of country music’s masters, Lyle Lovett and James Taylor, and contemporary favorites, Dierks Bentley and Darius Rucker. Alaina performed a duo with Dierks Bentley of the classic “Always On My Mind” and did a solo version of Loretta Lynn‘s famous “Coal Miner’s Daughter“. You can catch videos of both performances below. Capital Hoedown: Canada’s Country Music Festival

Details On Canada’s Country Music Festival Announced! Country music’s fan base reaches beyond the borders of the U.S.A., and our neighbor’s to the North have a particular love for twang! Their love is so great, they have produced a Country Music Festival of their own, the Capital Hoedown in Ottawa, Ontario! The 2012 festival is following two previous years of success, and will take place on August 10th-12th. The line-up announced so far is pretty impressive and features Reba McEntire, Brad Paisley, Ronnie Dunn, The Band Perry, and Taylor Swift among others. As the date gets closer, event organizers will announce the remaining performers as scheduling gets ironed out. Gloriana’s Soldier Song On Jay Leno

Gloriana Performs Soldier Tribute On Special Jay Leno Episode. In honor of last week’s Thanksgiving festivities, NBC aired a special episode of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” in which the audience was comprised of members of the armed forces representing each of the five branches of the military. The episode aired Wednesday, November 23rd on the eve of Thanksgiving, and featured a performance by Gloriana of their “Soldier Song” which was inspired by the group’s interactions with the military last fall when they visited the Middle East.
