Luke Bryan and Cabela’s Begin Multi-Year Partnership and Collaborations. Country music and the outdoors always seem to go together, and now Luke Bryan and Cabela’s, the World’s Foremost Outfitter for all our outdoor needs, are teaming up to bring us even more reasons to love both. They are co-branding a marketing campaign which includes products in Cabela’s stores and catalog, as well as behind-the-scenes outdoor adventures of Luke’s life off the stage. “My love for the outdoors is something that has been a part of me ever since I can remember. It seems there was never a time when we weren’t hunting, fishing, farming or playing outside since I was very young. Six Cities in George Strait’s Final Tour Sold-Out within Minutes! Tickets for George Strait’s final tour, The Cowboy Rides Away, went on sale Friday, and six of his shows have already sold out! Country music fans snatched up tickets to his first show in Lubbock, Texas (on Jan. 18th), in less than 15 minutes. Lubbock may have sold out first, but five of his other shows (in Oklahoma City, Okla., St. Paul, Minn., Albuquerque, N.M., Las Vegas, Nev., and Las Cruces, N.M) were just minutes behind! “I never expected the fans would react like this. Luke Bryan Announces First Headlining Tour, Dirt Road Diaries, Kicks Off in 2013! BREAKING NEWS! Luke Bryan has officially announced that he will be kicking off his first ever headlining tour in 2013! The “Dirt Road Diaries Tour” will debut in Evansville, Indiana on January 17th, and tickets will be going on sale on Friday, October 26th! “I have dreamed about this day for a very long time. We are having the best time putting together all the bells & whistles for the tour. I have spent a lot of time out on tours with some really great artists and each night we have tried to learn from them. Railroad Revival Tour Canceled

Second Annual Railroad Revival Tour Canceled. The Railroad Revival Tour was supposed to be a concert tour that would travel by train to stops across the U.S. and feature performances by Willie Nelson, Jamey Johnson, Band of Horses and John Reilly & Friends. However, this epic-sounding event is no more as it has been canceled. They made the announcement via their website with the following message: “It is with extreme regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2012 Railroad Revival Tour. “The decision to do so was a difficult one, but it was determined that certain complications would not permit us to host the shows in the manner intended, and that the bands and fans deserved.” Unfortunately, the organizers didn’t provide any other explanation about the cancellation. Thankfully, ticket holders are being given a full refund.

Zac Brown Band Southern Ground Festival in Nashville

Brown Band’s Southern Ground Music & Food Festival Big Hit at Nashville Debut! It is easy for me to say that Zac Brown Band is my personal favorite country music group, and it is hard for me to say that I missed out on the debut Southern Ground Music & Food Festival that took Nashville, TN by storm for two days on September 21st and September 22nd! I would have given anything to be one of the 15,000 fans that joined in on the weekend’s festivities, enjoying Live music on two stages from ZBB and special guests Gregg Allman, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Alan Jackson and Dwight Yoakam plus more stellar artists like David Gray, Amos Lee, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Lumineers, Southern Ground Artists Nic Cowan, Blackberry Smoke, Levi Lowrey and others! Besides amaaaaazing music, the lucky festival attendees also got to sample food from Zac Brown’s own mobile kitchen “Cookie” and other food trucks including Biscuit Love, Riff’s Fine Street Food, Bistro Truck and Delta Bound. Great music? Great food? Fall weather? You better believe that I will be there in 2013 when the festival returns to Nashville. Luke Bryan Takes 2012 Farm Tour to Georgia, Complete Details Here! Luke Bryan‘s Farm Tour returns for the fourth year with its 2012 line-up! The tour kicks off Wednesday, October 3rd, and Bryan will be joined on his eight concert dates by the “Peach Pickers” Dallas Davidson and Rhett Atkins, and singer/songwriters Chancie Neal and Cole Swindell. Luke and his crew will be visiting farms in South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia through October 13th! The Clemson date is already sold out, so if you’re wanting to catch Luke on this tour, see below for ticket info! CW Airs iHeartRadio Music Festival

CW Airs iHeartRadio Music Festival featuring Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and more TONIGHT! For all of us that couldn’t make the trek to Las Vegas to check out Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean and Taylor Swift live and in concert at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, there is hope! The CW Network will be airing selections from the two-day multi-genre concert TONIGHT (Monday, October 1st) at 8pm ET/PT. This festival did include a whole bunch on non-country acts (including a phenomenal on-stage tirade from Green Day rocker, Billie Joe Armstrong…details on that here.), and the television special will run for two hours. George Strait Announces FINAL Tour

George Stait Announces Announces Final Tour…But NOT Retiring! Wearing a black cowboy hat, jeans and a button up shirt, one of Country Music’s biggest icons, the man who can claim fifty-nine number one singles, the King, George Strait, stepped behind a podium at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN this morning to announce that after 2014, he will no longer be touring. Strait and his team were very clear however, that George is NOT retiring. He will continue to write and cut records. So, now that we know that, we can all sigh a sigh of relief. Let’s look at what details we gathered during the press conference! George Strait Final Tour Details. In 2013, George Strait will be kicking off 40 tour dates that will run through 2014. We know that the 20 dates for 2013 will include Martina McBride. Strait also specifically indicated that Randy Rogers and Miranda Lambert will be performing at the upcoming Houston, TX date. He then stated, “There’s just no tellin who might show. Hopefully we’ll have some surprises for people.” George Strait, New Music In The Works! There was more exciting news for country music fans, though! George let us know that he is already planning on getting back into the studio. He will be making time to work on a new record, come October. He said that this was the longest break he’d taken between records since 1981, and he was ready to get back to work on some new music!! Its good to know that Strait is still going to be giving fans new music in the years to come. Despite this very good news though, some fans are no doubt still heart broken at the prospect that George will only be playing fourty more live tour dates. He did suggest that if a special event came up, he and the band would consider getting back together on an off and on basis. As far as the structured, set dates of a full tour, though, after 2014, that will be no more. There was one tiny ray of possible hope as the king did admit that this decision isn’t entirely written in stone, “I believe I made the right the decision. Only time will tell… After two years…maybe I’ll reconsider.” When asked what he would do with his free time, he told those listening in, that he didn’t really know what he was going to do, though he did give us a little bit of an idea… a little golf, some fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandson. Sounds like a good plan to us! Well, that was a whirlwind of information, and I’ll leave you with this…when asked why he thinks he’s so successful, George gave the best possible answer.
