Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Goes Platinum

Carrie Underwood’s “Blown Away” Hits 1 Million Downloads “Blown Away,” the title track off Carrie Underwood’s latest album, hit 1 million downloads this week, becoming her 11th RIAA certified platinum single! The song is also No. 1 on Billboard and Mediabase, and the music video is NO. 1 of GAC’s Top 20 Countdown. Not impressive enough for ya? She’s also nominated for Female Vocalist at the 46th Annual CMA Awards this year. Tune in on November 1 as she hosts the show with Brad Paisley and probably wins awards. And Carrie’s “Blown Away Tour” has been selling out because we can’t get enough of her music. Jason Aldean Announces Night Train 2013 Tour will Kick Off at Fenway Park! So, it looks like we were right…even though, it wasn’t too hard to connect the dots! Jason Aldean made his big announcement via Livestream this morning, and its all about his Night Train 2013 Tour. But it was more than just a tour announcement…there was one very special detail! Aldean will be kicking off his tour at Fenway Park on July 13, 2013, and it will be the first time a country music artist will perform at the field! That’s pretty cool, right? New Taylor Swift MIM Exhibit Opening

Taylor Swift Exhibit Opens October 20th at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix. Taylor Swift is about to release her new album, new shoes, and her new museum exhibit! On October 20th, the Musical Instrument Museum (Phoenix, AZ) reveals their new Taylor Swift exhibit which features her instruments, stage wear, props from tours, handwritten lyrics, and other musical memorabilia from her elaborate career. MIM’s president and director, Bill DeWalt, is excited about the newest exhibit: “Not only is Taylor Swift one of the most successful musical artists in the world, she is also a multi-instrumentalist and an extraordinarily talented songwriter. We are honored to showcase some of the important artifacts from Swift’s career, and we hope this exhibit inspires our guests of all ages to play an instrument and make their own music.” You may think Taylor is young and a somewhat new artist, but she has made a big enough impression on the country music scene to have an exhibit at MIM that matches the size of their Elvis Presley exhibit! The exhibit showcases an impressive collection of Taylor memorabilia that highlights her entire career. The exhibit caught my eye because you can go back in time to her “Tim McGraw” days and see her handwritten lyrics, guitar, and video clips and articles about her rise to fame. You kinda get to relive her rise to stardom through the exhibit! MIM is showing their love for Taylor this opening weekend. They’ve got a songwriting workshop, streaming music videos, student concerts of Taylor songs, and all sorts of family-friendly activities. Blake Shelton Collaborates with Christina Aguilera On Her Upcoming Album, Lotus. Well, Miranda Lambert isn’t the only blonde powerhouse that Blake Shelton is spending time with. He recently teamed up with pop diva and fellow NBC‘s The Voice mentor, Christina Aguilera! Shelton, is featured on one of the 18 tracks, titled “Just A Fool“, and I can’t even begin to imagine what that is going to be like. Other Voice judge, Cee Lo Green also makes a guest appearance on the album. Check out the track listing below, in case you’re interested. From his perfectly baritone voice to his easy to relate to, fun songs, I just never get tired of hearing his music! Added bonus, I ran across this recent interview of Turner, and it turns out that he has got to be one of the most down to earth, cool guys! He’s out and about promoting his current live album, Live Across America, and he stopped by local Los Angeles Fox station to chat with the two anchors earlier this week. But, it looks like ready or not, we’re gonna get it from Jason Aldean‘s team. Via his social media today, the recently in hot water artist, let fans know that he is going to make a big announcement tomorrow (Thursday, October 17th).
