Kenny Chesney Look A Like Removed From Concert

Kenny Chesney Fan and Possible Body Double Removed from Recent Concert In Nashville. Over the weekend there was a bit of a misunderstanding at Kenny Chesney‘s “Brothers of the Sun” Tour stop in Nashville. A fan, Nathan Blankenship, was accused of being a Chesney impersonator and causing a disruption among the fans. His ticket was confiscated and he was removed from LP Field. Chesney’s social media managers released the following statement on Facebook this morning indicating that the Kenny team had nothing to do with Blankenship’s dismissal from the concert. Seems Odd To Me… I suppose I can see why the venue managers could get upset…maybe. But the thing is LP Field is huge, how did they spot this guy in the first place? Also, aside from creating a riot, how much of a fuss could he have made? He looks a lot like Kenny Chesney, but not necessarily enough for fans to freak out to the point that they cause enough trouble and Blankenship would be forced to leave. I’m glad to hear that someone is trying to fix this up with the fan, and that Chesney’s team is communicating with fans about it. What do ya’ll think? Should he have been thrown out? Or is this just silliness?

Guthrie Family Reunion Celebrates Woody Guthrie’s 100th Birthday. Folk icon Arlo Guthrie will be hitting the road along with three generations of Guthries for a very special tour, “Guthrie Family Reunion“, celebrating the 100th birthday of Woody Guthrie (July 14th, 1912). The tour will travel through select markets in North America during July and August 2012. Tour dates will include music festivals like the Green River Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Edmonton Folk Festival and more plus other select venues. See below for a complete list. Lonestar Set To Release New Single

Lonestar Released Their New Single, “The Countdown,” To Country Radio. With the 20th anniversary of the multi-platinum country band Lonestar already underway, fans will be excited to hear that the release of their new single, the melodically sparkling and lyrically urgent “The Countdown,” has been confirmed for July 17. A new album – on their own label, 4 Star Records – is expected in October. The recently reunited quartet – Michael Britt, lead guitar & backing vocals; Richie McDonald, lead vocals & piano; Keech Rainwater, drums; and Dean Sams, keyboards and backing vocals – kicked off 2012 with a hugely successful and acclaimed European tour on a multi-artist bill with Reba McIntire and Ricky Scaggs. Lonestar also recently performed at the CMA Fest in Nashville: an invitation only sold-out show for their fan club at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum as well as the Riverfront Stage for CMA festival attendees. This past weekend I got the chance to see him perform it live and let me tell you, the entire show was fantastic! Whether you hear the radio version, acoustic or live, you won’t be disappointed. His next single that he has coming up, “Hello Goodbye,” is also very good. If you are looking for some new music to listen to, I definitely suggest you consider Farr.

Ronnie Milsap Songwriting Contest Is Now Open. Country music legend Ronnie Milsap, along with American Songwriter, have announced Ronnie Milsap’s Country Cut Contest. Starting June 18, the special song contest will give one aspiring songwriter the chance to have their song recorded by Milsap on his upcoming album hitting stores this Fall 2012. “This really opens it up to receive material from a broader range of songwriters, different than what Ronnie would’ve normally been pitched going into the recording of a new album. New Country Trio, Scarletta, Has Released Their Debut Single, “Right Here, Right Now.” New country trio Scarletta has released their debut single, “Right Here, Right Now,” to country radio. The new single was written by Scarletta, along with rock personality Paul Taylor (Winger, Alice Cooper) who co-produced the track with Grammy Award-winning producer Blake Chancey. “This song was inspired by our love of summertime fun and a good groove. We hope it is the soundtrack to many wonderful memories.” -Scarletta The trio comprised of fiddle player Nathan Stoops, lead singer Aubrey Collins, and guitarist Benji Harris, found each other in Nashville and have created music ever since.
