Kix Brooks Releases 1st Solo Music

Kix Brooks Prepares to Release His First Solo Single. Kix Brooks is hot on the trail of ex-fellow group mate, Ronnie Dunn, as he is set to release his first solo attempt since the two dissolved their duo. His new single is titled “New To This Town” and will hit country radio on March 19th! Now, Ronnie has really set the bar high for Brooks! He released his debut album, and it has been immensely successful. Success isn’t a hard thing to come by though, when you release such a quality piece of work! So, what do you think? Are the solo efforts of country music’s separated duo, enough to make up for the loss of Brooks & Dunn?

Canaan Smith We Got Us Music Video

Here Is The Video For Canaan Smith’s “We Got Us!” For those of you who haven’t heard of Canaan Smith, let us introduce you! “We Got Us” is his very first single and it was released to country radio back in January. At first glance, some to the core country fans might say this guy is not “country.” He doesn’t have on boots and he wears scarves, well I say take a listen to some of his stuff before you make your decision. This first single has some killer fiddle and the actual story that the lyrics tell is a country song if I’ve ever heard one. He was named one of the top 12 artists to watch in 2012 by Country Weekly so I’m interested to see what we will be seeing… Here is the video, take a look!

Garth Brooks The Dance, JT Hodges Cover

Garth Brooks’ The Dance Gets A Little Love From JT Hodges. JT Hodges has taken on the Garth Brooks classic, “The Dance“. He did this special recording just for Valentine’s Day as a kind of Valentine to all his fans. I know, we’re getting this up a day late, but it’s better late than never, right? Besides this song is a classic, and its worth taking a listen any ole day! Additionally, Hodges has released another single, “Goodbyes Made You Mine“, and it’s currently available on iTunes. This track has that kind of rock undertone that you can find in his other songs, but it still maintains an almost sweet sentiment. One of the things I really like about JT is the genuine quality in his voice, that gives an original feel to his music that you don’t get from a lot of singers. So, watch the video below, and then go check out his new single! As always, tell us what ya think! JT Hodges rendition of “The Dance“. If not, then this might be the first you’ve heard of this new country singer. The Michigan native has firmly established herself in Hollywood, but is now pursuing her true passion, singing…country-style. She just debuted her video for latest single, “Why Ya Wanna“, and you can check it out below. The song while not really dealing with ground-breaking themes, is surprisingly genuine. Sugarland Run Video

Check Out The Video for Sugarland’s “Run”. I don’t know if you had a chance to catch the live performance of Sugarland‘s “Run” featuring Matt Nathanson at last year’s CMA Awards…but if you didn’t, you missed out. It was one of the best performances of the night. Well, it was one of my favorites at least! There is just something about the lyrics in this song and the way Jennifer Nettles and Nathanson perform this duet together that is absolutely irresistible! In case you did miss the CMA performance, or you haven’t had the opportunity to catch Sugarland live, they have released the video for “Run” for fans to enjoy! It features live concert footage which I think helps emphasize the rawness of the song. Watch it below, and let us know what you think! Sugarland’s “Run” featuring Matt Nathanson. Kelly Clarkson Singing Pistol Annies Tune

Pistol Annies Takes Requests at Texas Concert and Covers Pistol Annies Song! Its always very exciting when one artist you love covers the music of another you admire. Kelly Clarkson is the one doing the covering this time around, and she’s singing a Pistol Annies tune you might have heard of…”Hell On Heels“.
