Kellie Pickler Releases New Single. Kellie Pickler released her new single, “Tough” earlier this week on Monday, June 13th marking her first musical release since 2008. The single is featured on Pickler’s upcoming album of the same name which is due out Tuesday, June 21st. “Tough” is catchy with a beat which makes you want to get up and move. This is especially true if you’re a woman. In which case, this dancing may be accompanied by the occasional fist pump or shout as this song has an empowering vibe to it. One of the best lines is “there ain’t nothin’ wrong with a woman that got a little back bone.” Enough said (or sung)! All in all, the lyrics paint a picture of a strong woman who isn’t okay with just being some man’s arm candy. It never gets old, hearing country women really embrace their strength! If the rest of the album is as sassy and enjoyable as this single, then country music listeners are in for a treat! George Strait Released His Latest Single: Here For A Good Time! George Strait has released his 89th single to country radio! “Here For A Good Time” was written by Strait, his son Bubba Strait, and Dean Dillon and will be on his new album due out later this fall. The single has been named his second highest debut in his career, landing at 29 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. With 80 adds, it is the most added song to country radio this week! “I think this is the longest time, during my recording career, without anything new on the radio,” said Strait. “It’s good to be back and I want to thank country radio for their continued support. Have a great summer!” “King George” has been at it for over 30 years and has the most number one singles of any artist in history including Elvis! He never lets his fans down, staying true to his “Pure Country” sound. A Texas man, he makes everyone fall in love with his gentleman tendencies and likeable personality. He has no flash, his shows consist of him, a guitar, some wranglers, and his band, standing there keeping rhythm and singing to his devout fans. It is a fun song just in time for summer, just exactly what we like to hear from AJ. “Seems like every time you turn around lately, there’s just something heavy going on in the world, so I felt like singing something that was kind of light and fun,” Jackson said. “I hope some people like it.” He expects to release the album later this fall. Craig Morgan’s New Single This Ole Boy Craig Morgan will release his newest single “This Ole Boy” to country radio June 21. The song is his first with Black River Entertainment and has Morgan very excited! “This Ole Boy” is written by Ben Hayslip, Dallas Davidson, and Rhett Atkins and is “the perfect sing-along country love song”. The single will be on Morgan’s sixth studio album that is set to be out early 2012.

Tyrone Vaughan Set to Release Downtime in September! Tyrone Vaughan’s album Downtime is set to be released in September. The son of blues guitarist Jimmie Vaughan and nephew of legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, has made this album true to his country roots, including his well-known family guitar capabilities. Along with “Downtime“, the record gives us “9 Times Out of 10“, “Buzz Kill“, “She Could Have Had Anything“, “The House Feels So Empty“, “Next Stop, Texas“, and “Wanna Hear You Sing“. Throughout the record we get a touch of rock, blues, and R&B. “It’s country all day long, but it also rocks, there’s blues – I can’t deny it. I keep the Vaughan guitar in there, but with fiddle, banjo, and steel guitar in there as well. So it’s this whole different vibe.” Vaughan is the latest artist with Kick It Up Music and Records and “Downtime” has been released as his first single!

Trace Adkins Releases Video for Latest Single Just Fishin’. Trace Adkins latest single “Just Fishin’” is a far cry from his more wild songs like “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk“! As much as we love those (and we do), it’s nice to have the change of pace, and see Trace showcase his softer side. Similar to “You’re Gonna Miss This“, this latest single takes on a paternal and loving tone, and highlights just how fast things can pass us by. So far, “Just Fishin’” which was released late March, has received favorable attention. The video debuted Friday, June 3rd, and it is nothing short of adorable (if you can use the term adorable about a big man like Trace). It features scenes of a “father” and “daughter” spending the day together at the lake, and appropriately mirrors the themes expressed in the lyrics. “Just Fishin’” is featured on Adkins upcoming album, Proud To Be Here, which is due out on August 2. Shania Twain Debuts New Single On OWN. Shania Twain recently returned full force to the country music scene with the release of her autobiography, From This Moment On and new docu-reality show, “Why Not? with Shania Twain”, on the Oprah Winfrey Network. She had left the spot light for a much needed respite after dealing with a very public and painful divorce, but now she is full of new ideas, new life (including a new husband) and lots to share with fans. In addition to her book and television series, Shania will be releasing her first single in over six years! The song is titled “Today Is Your Day“, and it will be debuted during the finale episode of of her show airing Sunday, June 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The single will be available on iTunes after the show, and it will hit country radio airwaves that week. The episode coming up later this week, Sunday June 5th at 10 p.m. ET/PT, titled “Finding My Voice“, will gives fans a peak behind the scenes as it chronicles the production of the new song. The finale episode titled “Endless Love” provides fans with the ultimate finale as it features the conclusion of Shania’s tour, and never-before-seen footage from her wedding in the Bahamas to now husband Frederic Thiebaud. This is the first single of Frankie’s debut self-titled album which was released earlier the year, and it is available now on iTunes. Hailing from Michigan Ballard has risen out of obscurity rather quickly obtaining his first record contract in 2009, and garnering “top 5 video chart” notoriety for his first single release “Tell Me You Get Lonely“in 2010. Most recently, it was announced he will be an opening act for the U.S. leg of Taylor Swift‘s Speak Now tour. Frankie has a vibe influenced by multiple genres, and he cites a wide range of influences from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Brad Paisley. “A Buncha Girls” is a fun, upbeat song which show cases Ballard’s personality and talent.
