Justin Moore’s Outlaws Like Me In Stores! Justin Moore has released his sophomore album, “Outlaws Like Me”. The CD has 12 songs including his latest single “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” and the title track “Outlaws Like Me“. Moore had a hand in writing all but two of the songs and the Arkansas native makes sure to tell us just what he’s all about in his lyrics. “There have been thousands of miles, countless incredible shows, hundreds of Resistol cowboy hats, more than a few pair of Luchaese cowboy boots, and many new and familiar faces along the way. Those faces across the country are the reason I’m able to do this for a second time.” says Justin to his fans in his liner notes I really enjoyed “Til My Last Day“, “Beer Time“, and “Run Out Of Honky Tonks“, along with the others, the album as a whole is worth the purchase! Moore is a talented singer, as well as (in my opinion), hilarious! I definitely recommend picking up both his albums and catching him if he’s playing somewhere near you, actually see him even if you have to travel a bit!
Vince Gill Releases New Single and New Album. It has been four years since Vince Gill released new music, and later this summer he will releasing his first single off his upcoming album, Guitar Slinger. The album is due out in the Fall, and features a wide variety of songs and themes from dark and serious to more upbeat and hopeful. “I feel like the emphasis has been on the songs and the songs have gotten better. They really run the gamut of what they are about, how they feel, how they sound. It’s not an all-traditional record, it’s not an all-contemporary record; it’s all over the map, like I kind of have always been. But it doesn’t feel out of step with anything I’ve done previously.” -Vince Gill Fans can look forward to hearing the first single off the album, “Threaten Me With Heaven”, co-written by his wife, Amy Grant, Dillon O’Brian and Will Owsley, when it is released later this summer. Since the writing of the song, tragedy has given a deeper meaning toits lyrics and theme. “Since the song was recorded, my friend Will Owsley took his own life, so the song has a profound impact on me now. It’s a powerful, powerful song. Kellie Pickler Releases New Single. Kellie Pickler released her new single, “Tough” earlier this week on Monday, June 13th marking her first musical release since 2008. The single is featured on Pickler’s upcoming album of the same name which is due out Tuesday, June 21st. “Tough” is catchy with a beat which makes you want to get up and move. This is especially true if you’re a woman. In which case, this dancing may be accompanied by the occasional fist pump or shout as this song has an empowering vibe to it. One of the best lines is “there ain’t nothin’ wrong with a woman that got a little back bone.” Enough said (or sung)! All in all, the lyrics paint a picture of a strong woman who isn’t okay with just being some man’s arm candy. It never gets old, hearing country women really embrace their strength! If the rest of the album is as sassy and enjoyable as this single, then country music listeners are in for a treat! George Strait has released his 89th single to country radio! “Here For A Good Time” was written by Strait, his son Bubba Strait, and Dean Dillon and will be on his new album due out later this fall. The single has been named his second highest debut in his career, landing at 29 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. With 80 adds, it is the most added song to country radio this week! “I think this is the longest time, during my recording career, without anything new on the radio,” said Strait. “It’s good to be back and I want to thank country radio for their continued support. Have a great summer!” “King George” has been at it for over 30 years and has the most number one singles of any artist in history including Elvis! He never lets his fans down, staying true to his “Pure Country” sound. A Texas man, he makes everyone fall in love with his gentleman tendencies and likeable personality. Craig Morgan’s New Single This Ole Boy Craig Morgan will release his newest single “This Ole Boy” to country radio June 21. The song is his first with Black River Entertainment and has Morgan very excited! “This Ole Boy” is written by Ben Hayslip, Dallas Davidson, and Rhett Atkins and is “the perfect sing-along country love song”. The single will be on Morgan’s sixth studio album that is set to be out early 2012.
Tyrone Vaughan Set to Release Downtime in September! Tyrone Vaughan’s album Downtime is set to be released in September. The son of blues guitarist Jimmie Vaughan and nephew of legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, has made this album true to his country roots, including his well-known family guitar capabilities. Along with “Downtime“, the record gives us “9 Times Out of 10“, “Buzz Kill“, “She Could Have Had Anything“, “The House Feels So Empty“, “Next Stop, Texas“, and “Wanna Hear You Sing“. Throughout the record we get a touch of rock, blues, and R&B. “It’s country all day long, but it also rocks, there’s blues – I can’t deny it. I keep the Vaughan guitar in there, but with fiddle, banjo, and steel guitar in there as well. So it’s this whole different vibe.” Vaughan is the latest artist with Kick It Up Music and Records and “Downtime” has been released as his first single!
Trace Adkins Releases Video for Latest Single Just Fishin’. Trace Adkins latest single “Just Fishin’” is a far cry from his more wild songs like “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk“! As much as we love those (and we do), it’s nice to have the change of pace, and see Trace showcase his softer side. Similar to “You’re Gonna Miss This“, this latest single takes on a paternal and loving tone, and highlights just how fast things can pass us by. So far, “Just Fishin’” which was released late March, has received favorable attention. The video debuted Friday, June 3rd, and it is nothing short of adorable (if you can use the term adorable about a big man like Trace). It features scenes of a “father” and “daughter” spending the day together at the lake, and appropriately mirrors the themes expressed in the lyrics. “Just Fishin’” is featured on Adkins upcoming album, Proud To Be Here, which is due out on August 2.
