Trace Adkins Special Guest Judge on CMT’s Next Superstar! Trace Adkins, in an effort to promote the release of his latest single “Just Fishin’“, will be appearing as a special guest judge on this week’s episode of CMT’s Next Superstar. The remaining contestants are given the task of performing in groups of three on the street for tips only. The group who receives the least amount of tips will have to “sing to survive” with Adkins as their judge! The episode airs this Friday, April 15th at 9pm ET on CMT. Craig Campbell’s Debut Album Available Now The Georgia native whose popularity is quickly rising, Craig Campbell has released his debut, 11-song album, Craig Campbell and it is available now. The album features his already popular single, “Family Man” which was released to country music radio earlier this year, as well as songs like “When I Get It” and “Makes You Wanna Sang” which get to a back to basics, daily living kind of sentimentality. Campbell showcases his talent of storytelling with songs like “All Night to Get There” and “Chillaxin”, perfectly painting pictures that any listener can easily relate to! It is easy to spot the influence of his self-proclaimed idol, Alan Jackson. Campbell will be out and about touring on his own as well as getting on board with Willie Nelson’s Country Throwdown Tour this summer. The Judds Release New Album

The Judds New Album Is Available In Stores Now! The Judds have a lot going on, including the release of their new compilation album, I Will Stand By You: The Essential Collection. The album includes twelve of the duos classics, as well as two new songs, “I Will Stand By You” and “Back Home” featuring Alison Krauss, which mark the first time Naomi and Wynonna have recorded together since 2004. Keep an eye out for upcoming television appearances by The Judds on ACM’s Girls Night Out: Superstar Women of Country set to air on CBS Friday, April 22nd and their own documentary series titled The Judds with a two hour premiere on the Oprah Winfrey Network at 9pm EST on Sunday, April 10th.

Carter’s Chord Set To Release New EP! Carter’s Chord has been hard at work writing and recording and the fruits of their labor, a six song EP titled Wild Together, is set to release in a few weeks on Tuesday, May 24th. Carter’s Chord, made up of sisters Becky, Emily and Joanna Robertson, has deep roots in country music and pulls influences from some of the greats. Indeed the girl’s parents, Carter and Barney Robertson, toured and recorded with Waylon Jennings during the Outlaw movement. “There’s some real attitude on this recording. When you grow up with parents who were a part of the Outlaw movement, you really can’t help that.” -Becky Along with the attitude there is also an emphasis on harmony, as can be expected from a trio of sisters. While building on the influence of others and their environment, hailing from California and Nashville, the girls also try to bring in their own voices and individuality. “ We really wanted this music to be a better reflection of who we are as recording artists.
