Chase Rice to Release Ready Set Roll on Oct 8th

Relative newcomer to the country music scene, Chase Rice is trying his luck in mainstream radio after a proven track record of killing it on his own at live shows. His first radio single “Ready Set Roll” will hit digital retailers Tuesday October 8th with an EP following one week later. While you my not know Rice’s name now, you already know his work. He was a co-writer on the Florida Georgia Line hit “Cruise“. “We’ve worked really hard on the music and our live show over the last few years, playing a lot of these songs for audiences ranging from 10 to 10,000, so to see a brand new single get this kind of momentum out of the gate from fans requesting it on the radio and at our shows is insane,” shares Rice. “I’m truly blown away at the support and can’t wait to see where our fans take us next!” Take a listen and tell us what you think! For more on Chase Rice, follow him on Twitter or facebook, or check out his official site.

Well 60 for 60 worked! The song is currently sitting at #1 on real-time charts and if it can hold that position until Saturday, it will become official. Daryl Wayne Dasher Brings Old School Sound with New Album

Daryl Wayne Dasher Brings An Old School Country Sound with New Album, Great Big Sky. Independent country/folk/Americana artist, Daryl Wayne Dasher released his sophmore album, Great Big Sky, today (Tuesday, April 23rd), and the new record is currently available via iTunes. The new project is the follow-up to his 2009 solo debut, Long Road Now. “Making this album took more out of me than anything I’ve ever done before. There were many steep emotional ups and downs during the writing process, recording, and especially the mixing of ‘great big sky.’ I liken it to going on a really long hike on the Appalachian Trail. There are many seemingly pointless ups and down, moments of vision and joy, moments of being totally drained both emotionally and physically, times when you ask “why am I doing this?” and times of perfect clarity.” -Daryl Wayne Dasher Dasher pulls together a more traditional country, folk and Americana sound with lyrics and themes pulled from daily living and experience. With this listeners will find eleven genuine and original tracks that boast a very real quality and talent that provides a refreshing reprieve from the usual suspects being marketed out of the Nashville scene. Be sure to follow the iTunes link above to give Great Big Sky a shot, and find more from Dayrl on his own site and of course, Twitter (@dwdmusic)

George Strait New Album Love Is Everything Due May 14th

King George Releases New Album Love Is Everything on Heels of 2013 The Cowboy Rides Away Tour! George Strait has officially announced that his new album, Love Is Everything, will release on May 14th! Exciting! Chris Janson Better I Don’t Video

Chris Janson’s Debut Music Video for “Better I Don’t” Offers a Fun First Impression! Chris Janson recently kind of came of left field for me with his funny and relatable single “Better I Don’t,” and I’m sure glad he did. Janson might be new to me, but the songwriter definitely isn’t new to country having gotten his start at the iconic Tootsies Orchid Lounge at 18, penning tunes for major stars like Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah,” and now working on a debut album. The catchy and fun song makes a strong case for sobriety, but at the same time keeps things lighthearted. The video for “Better I Don’t” manages to maintain the same balance, and offers Janson to give fans a peak at his charming side. Needless to say, the video is a lot of fun, and a great way for Chris to break into the country scene as a performing artist. Watch it below, and be sure to find Janson on Twitter!
