The Band Perry New Video for Done

The Band Perry Get A Little Rock and Roll with Video for Done from New Album Pioneer. With their debut, self-titled album, The Band Perry leaned a little folk, and they seemed to be continuing that trend with their most recent single “Better Dig Two.” Before now, I would have said TBP was much more pop country than anything else, but this new single, “Done” from sophmore album Pioneer (releasing Tuesday, April 2nd) is whole other animal indeed. This new track is much more rock and roll oriented than any of their previous work, and it really, really suits them. The new video which premiered only moments ago features the trio in black leather ensembles, giving absolutely everything they’ve got. All three of the siblings, but Kimberly especially, are maturing and growing before our eyes with each new taste of music we get from them. Check out the new song below, and be sure to give the whole album a look as well. Watch: The Band Perry “Done” Official Music Video.

Drake White Releases Debut Single – The Simple Life

Drake White Has Released His Debut Single, “The Simple Life,” To Radio. Drake White released his debut single, “The Simple Life,” to radio this week tying Justin Moore for the most added song (“Point At You”). “The Simple Life” is co-written by Drake, Jeremy Stover and Brian Dean Maher and will appear on Drake’s upcoming debut album due out late 2013 on MCA. Drake explains what’s behind the debut single saying “There’s a buzz in this world. There’s a distraction and a constant noise. ‘The Simple Life’ is about getting away from that and knowing what is important to you—family, friends, God, whatever and really feeling that you don’t have to be going 90 million miles an hour all the time. You can slow down, live simply and when you let the loose ends drag, they say the stress levels go down, the health goes up. When you’re healthy and stress free, that’s a good life. That’s the simple life.” The Alabama native describes his sound as “country rockin’ freestyle blues” with influences by Ray Charles, Merle Haggard, Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson, whom Drake toured with on the Country Throwdown tour. He has also opened for Eric Church, Kid Rock, Alan Jackson, Little Big Town and most recently, Blackberry Smoke. Below is a video of Drake talking about his debut single, enjoy!

Gwen Sebastian Rocking New Single Annie’s New Gun

Gwen Sebastian’s Annie’s New Gun Is A Sassy Rocking Good Time. Gwen Sebastian has a voice that is raw with emotion, powerful in range and is guaranteed to grab your attention on first listen. You probably know her from her stint on NBC’s The Voice, and subsequently from her on going professional collaborations with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. Soon enough though, with an upcoming album release this summer, folks will know Gwen for her talent alone, and her new single, “Annie’s New Gun,” is proof positive of just that. This track is everything that I love about women in country music. Strong, take charge lyrics matched equally with sassy, energetic delivery showcasing Gwen’s undeniable talent. It’s easy to see why she fits so well in the Lambert/Shelton wheelhouse of country. Take a listen below, and be sure to catch up with Sebastian on Twitter! Listen! Gwen Sebastian “Annie’s New Gun.”

Jiggley Jones Baby Blue Music Video

Alt Country Artist Jiggley Jones Releases Music Video for Single Baby Blue. Jiggley Jones has a unique sound that is reminiscent of the alt rock we heard come out of the nineties with just a little bit of twang mixed in here and there. His music isn’t exactly what I would call easily classified, and current single “Baby Blue” is featured on Jones’ EP No Spring Chicken which features four tracks that all seem to offer a different side of this new on the scene artist. While I am not over the moon crazy about the new video, shaky editing and overly dramatic effects detract from the quality of the song, I think there is some real potential in the honesty and heartfelt, almost raw, emotion in the lyrics on his tracks. Take a couple minutes to check out the video below, listen to the single, and let us know what you think. If you want more, you can find Jiggley Jones on Twitter! Jason Aldean 1994 Music Video

Jason Aldean Premieres 1994 Official Music Video. Jason Aldean debuted his new music video for “1994” exclusively on Entertainment Tonight yesterday (Wednesday, March 20th). Further channeling his “rap” side, Jason does a lot of slow talking in this single especially in the open of the song, and overall it has a really addictive rock vibe. While the video is a lot of fun featuring cameos from Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Hayden Panettiere and others, there’s a lot more daisy duke clad booty shaking than I expected and even a little break dancing mixed in there. It’s a modern and fresh track, but it’s interesting to me that while it’s an homage to Joe Diffie, except for the lyrical references, it couldn’t be less in line with Diffie’s brand of country. In a way, Aldean’s “1994” encapsulates where country was, where it is now and possibly where it is headed as a genre. Take a look below, and let me know what you think. Florida Georgia Line Remix Cruise with Nelly

Florida Georgia Line Team Up with Rapper Nelly to Remix Hit Song Cruise. Florida Georgia Line rocketed onto the country scene with their now double platinum, multi-week #1 single “Cruise,” and followed that up with the equally popular “Get Your Shine On,” which hit 15 on the charts already and continues to climb. The new country duo is taking things to the next level with “Cruise” by teaming up with rapper Nelly for a remix loosely scheduled to debut sometime this Spring. Both halves of FGL  are very excited about the upcoming collaboration. “When we caught wind that Nelly was a fan of ‘Cruise,’ we were floored. We’ve been fans of his music for years and thought it would be cool to team up on a remix.” -Brian Kelley “Nelly really brought a fresh, unique sound to ‘Cruise’ and we’re super excited for our fans to hear!” -Tyler Hubbard You can hear a “hint” of the remix in Nelly’s recent video for “Hey Porche” which I’ve included for you below. Spoiler, its at the very, very end of the video. So, if for some strange reason you can’t make it through the whole song, just skip to last couple of seconds.  Check it out, and be sure to tell me what you think in the comments below. Next up, FGL will be helping kick off the Outnumber Hunger Live! benefit concert which will air on AXS TV. You can also catch them live from Las Vegas at the 2013 ACM Awards on Sunday, April 7th as the duo is nominated for ACM Vocal Duo of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Kristen Kelly Video He Loves To Make Me Cry

Kristen Kelly Is A Country Music Diva In Her Video for He Loves To Make Me Cry! When I hear Kristen Kelly‘s single “He Loves To Make Me Cry,” I am simply in awe of just how powerful her voice and talent really are! If ever there was one, Kelly has some real potential to be a “country music diva,” and I mean that in the most positive way possible. I’m talking a talented to the core, strong and confident kind of woman here, and that is just what Kristen offers up in this song and the new video that was recently released! The video keeps things simple with Kelly dressed beautifully in a tasteful but stunning floor length, slim gown on stage with an old school mic and all eyes on her. The audience is kept in profile, and except for a few complimentary scenes of a couple slow dancing, the focus is entirely on Kristin and her show stopping vocals. Great song. Great talent. Great video. See for yourself below, and be sure to keep up Kristen on Twitter! She is currently on the road playing shows with Rascal Flatts. You can find her EP on iTunes. Jon Wolfe The Only Time You Call-Music Video

The Official Music Video For Jon Wolfe’s “The Only Time You Call.” Below is the official music video for Jon Wolfe’s single, “The Only Time You Call.” The song comes from his album, It All Happened In A Honky Tonk, and follows singles “Let A Country Boy Love You,” “That Girl In Texas,” “I Don’t Dance” and the title track. The deluxe edition of the album has 15 songs and was released in January of this year. I have quickly become a fan of this song. It is a classic story of an ex and that dreaded, but reoccurring booty call. The story might have been covered in songs before, but this one stands out. It has a great melody set to nice, classic vocals that I am drawn to. The video for “The Only Time You Call” is below. It was shot in Nashville and was directed by Mason Dixon. Take a look and tell us what you think! Watch Jon Wolfe “The Time You Call” Official Music Video.
