Craig Campbell Releases Video for “When I Get It”. Craig Campbell has released the video for his most recent single, “When I Get It“, and it’s a really good one! Campbell seems to me to be a genuinely down to earth guy. When he talks about hard times and makin’ it work with what ya got, it’s clear he has some experience in the matter. This new video is really creative, and manages to be both realistic, demonstrating the experience a lot of Americans are having while also being humorous. The great thing though, is that the humor isn’t belittling the experience. It is more a well-that’s-life-what’cha-gonna-do-but-grin-and-bear-it sort of humor. Jason Aldean, The Band Perry and Others Featured On Compilation Album From 2012 Grammy Nominations. Several country stars, including Jason Aldean, Eric Church, The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift are included in an upcoming multi-genre, compilation album, 2012 Grammy Nominations, which will release Tuesday, January 24th. Introducing Six String Boys

Meet Six String Boys, An Up and Coming Texas Based Country Red Dirt Group You Should Notice! With the motto, “Six Strings and a Dream“, Texas-based Six String Boys (Josh Spivey, Rich Hermes, Evan Beran and Justin Ng) have a vision (that record deal!) for their future and the talent to back it up. Currently based in and around College Station these boys are aiming to make sure they’re creating music that will get heard, and with several projects in the works, they’re off to a good start. In DIY mode, this group has a documentary/music video hybrid in production that is being directed/produced by another Texas up and comer, news reporter turned video producer, Nicole Morten of Water Into Wine Productions. The video features Six String’s original tune “Take My Hand” as well as interviews with group members, giving everyone insight into the group’s beginnings and their motivation for where they’re headed! Also in the works is a complete album (to possibly release this year!) of original work. Their lyrics speak to real world experiences and down-home living that any country music fan could relate to, and the instrumentals have that country with a little-bit-of-rock-in-there vibe that sounds fine slow or can pick it up to get your foot to stompin’. All in all, what they have recorded at this point shows promise! To hear a little bit of what they’ve got goin’ on, see below. Beyond those projects, which is a lot in and of itself, Six String Boys is also hard at work playing as many live shows as they can. While they are willing to play just about anywhere, these boys do most of their playing in and around College Station.They have big plans though, aiming their reach towards Austin, San Antonio, Dallas (all the big Texas hot spots…and the smaller ones too!) and eventually beyond (Nashville, anyone?). These guys are down to earth, motivated and ready to put on a good show! So, keep an ear out if you’re in Texas or elsewhere for the Six String Boys. The Band Perry To Sing The National Anthem At The 2012 Cotton Bowl! The Band Perry will kick off the night right when the sing the National Anthem to a sold-out Cowboys Stadium in Arlington! Tonight is the 2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic and this is a night many football fans have been waiting for! The Arkansas Razorbacks and the K-State Wildcats will leave it all on the field as they fight for the title! It should be a great game and I’m sure those Perry kids will get everyone in the patriotic mood! For those of you who are looking for a full performance from this trio of siblings, you are in luck! The Band Perry will be hitting the road with Brad Paisley on his Virtual Reality World Tour 2012! The first show will be January 12 in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena!

Lee Brice Has Asked Longtime Girlfriend To Get Hitched! Lee Brice has popped the question to his love, Sarah Reevely! It happened January 2, while the couple was vacationing in Key West, Florida. Brice, 32 and Reevely, 29 have known each other for 13 years and have a 3-year-old son together, Takoda. Brice said he was very nervous, and to me that is just plain precious! Congratulations to these two and the rest of their families and thanks for sharing it with the fans!

Brad Paisley’s 2012 Tour Name Gets A New Look. Brad Paisley announced last Fall that his 2012 world tour would bear the name The Camobunga! 2012 World Tour. After getting together with his band and doing a few rehearsals though, he has decided that he needed a different title for the designs he had sketched and the experience he wants his fans to have. “When I saw the visuals and how exciting and sometimes mind-blowing they were I just felt the tour name needed to reflect what the fans were going to see. For two hours each night of the tour they can be taken away from reality – literally.” -Brad Paisley So, the new tour title is now the Brad Paisley Virtual Reality World Tour 2012. It’s definitely a change from the original title, and after hearing his comments, I am super curious. Paisley is know for putting on amazing concerts, and I have no doubt this will be a great one. Neal McCoy Sets Release Date For Upcoming Album! Last year, Neal McCoy totally faked us out. He released a YouTube video hinting at the release of new material. Now, the fake out was that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert did the talking, and we all thought that THEY were releasing an album together. To our dismay Blake and Miranda were not talking about their own project, but to our delight they were talking about new music in the works from Neal McCoy! This album, titled XII, is scheduled to release on March 6th, 2012. It is co-produced by Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton (there’s the fake-out!), and guitarist Brent Rowan. His current single, “A-OK” released last year.

Loretta Lynn Cancels First Shows of 2012. Loretta Lynn has canceled the first shows scheduled for 2012. This includes stops in Ashland, KY on Saturday, January 7th and Durham, NC on January 8th. The shows have not had firm dates reset, but should be rescheduled eventually. This is not the first time Loretta has had to cancel shows. She recently had to do so because she was suffering from a bout of pneumonia. Here’s hoping Loretta is just fine, and will be able to return to her scheduled performance dates!
