2011 ACM Awards Offers Free Concerts

2011 ACM Awards Hosting Weekend of Free Concerts for Country Fans The Academy of Country Music is hosting two nights of free and open to the public concerts the Friday and Saturday before the 2011 ACM Awards on Sunday, April 3rd. The weekend long party will be held in the Fremont Street Experience, a five-block entertainment zone in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada beginning at 6:15pm both nights. The performers include many newcomers as well as previously announced headliners Ronnie Dunn and Sara Evans. Friday night, April 1st perfomers are Sarah Darling, Casey James, Brett Eldredge, Chris Young, and Song of the Year Nominee Lee Brice with Sara Evans rounding off the evening. Saturday night, April 2nd performers are Thompson Square, New Vocal Duo of the Year Nominee The JaneDear Girls, New Vocal Duo of the Year Nominee Steel Magnolia, New Solo Vocalist of the Year Nominee Randy Houser, and New Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year Nominee Easton Corbin with Ronnie Dunn’s performance bringing the kick-off party to it’s finale. 2011 ACM Awards Updates

Ronnie Dunn confirms a solo performance for the 2011 ACM Awards. Ronnie Dunn admits the butterflies have got a hold of his stomach as he prepares to perform his new single “Bleed Red” on the 2011 ACM Awards. The awards will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 3rd, and air on CBS. Ronnie will also be performing a full concert in Vegas the night before the awards.

Sugarland to Headline ACM Fan-Jam

Sugarland is given top billing at the ACM Fan Jam concert during the 2011 ACM Awards! The Academy of Country Music wants to be sure ALL fans have a chance to participate in this year’s live telecast of the 46th Annual ACM Awards in April. That’s why they have put together a special 3hour fans-only concert that will be broadcast simultaneously with the awards show. The ACM Fan Jam will feature Sugarland as a headliner, with more acts to be announced soon. The event will take place at the exact same time as the ACM Awards, and be broadcast from the Mandalay Bay Events Center. The ACM Fan Jam will include three LIVE remotes into the 46th Annual ACM Awards telecast-one for each hour of the show-and will also include a profusion of entertainment, including live performances by upcoming country music acts, prizes and special give-aways for attendees only, such as autographed guitars, trip packages to country music events and merchandise. Fans at the ACM Awards wear cocktail or dressy attire, but at the Fan Jam, concert attire is key because the night continues with many more live performances and appearances after the Awards taping ends. Once the party starts, it won’t stop!!

Lee Ann Womack to Host 2010 ACM Honors

Lee Ann Womack is set to host the 2010 ACM Honors celebration September 20th. The Academy of Country Music has chosen the lovely Lee Ann Womack to host this year’s celebration as they present special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 45th Annual ACM Awards. ACM Honors will take place September 20th at the historic Ryman Auditorium and tickets go on sale tomorrow, Wednesday Sept 1st.
