Kip Moore’s Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck Certified Platinum

Kip Moore’s Single “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” Which Was A Two-Week No. 1 Hit, Has Been Certified Platinum For Sales Of 1 Million Units. Kip Moore’s “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck” has been certified platinum! “I can’t wrap my head around platinum. I had a hard enough time wrapping my head around gold, so there’s no way I can wrap my head around platinum. It’s something that every writer and artist dreams to be a part of, something that is working like this.” -Moore “It was validation for me that I was smart to stick to my guns and believe in myself all those years when it looked like nothing was happening. So often I wanted to cash in my chips and say, ‘At least I played,’ but I kept grinding and kept writing and writing and writing and kept believing that at some point it was going to work. So it’s a grateful moment to me that I kept my faith.” Earlier this month, he released his new single, “Beer Money,” and he performed its national television debut on Conan on TBS on Tuesday, July 17. “Conan is so special for me because when my sister was in her car accident and in the hospital for seven months, Conan was one of the few people who could make her smile. She thinks he is so funny and so do I. I have always been such a fan of the show and him as a person. It’s definitely amazing to get to play on national TV with that many people watching, and I am so glad that this is the first late-night show I am playing.” Moore has been touring extensively, performing his own shows and joining Billy Currington and David Nail on the road. He will join Eric Church’s Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour in the fall. Entertainment Weekly recently named him one of five Music Summer Breakouts in its issue called “Your Summer Must List.” Here is the video from that performance!

How To Beat The Heat

Be Smart While Braving The Summer Sun! As we all know, it has been a pretty toasty summer with temperatures reaching three digits on more than several occasions. Although many of us have the gift of complaining down pat, everyone should understand that high temperatures can be very dangerous as well as uncomfortable. I want to strongly suggest that everyone takes all the necessary precautions to stay safe! The best way to do this is to stay inside! Keep your fans or AC at a reasonable notch and drink plenty of water. I understand this can be impossible for some because of work. I have family and friends who work in this heat everyday and it scares me! I can’t tell you enough how important it is to stay hydrated! We also want to encourage you while attending music festivals to never skip a meal, cut back a bit on your alcoholic beverages and again DRINK WATER! Wear clothes that are sensible, don’t forget to apply sunscreen and enjoy the show!

Eli Young Band’s Gains #1 Hit

The Eli Young Band Now Has Their Second Consecutive #1 Song With “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.” The Eli Young Band has gained their second consecutive #1 song with “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.” The follow up to “Crazy Girl” has a great message that has obviously impacted country music listeners. The song itself has its own life and seems to take over the space you are in while listening, from the opening beat to the intensity of the chorus, it is hard not to enjoy this song! Congrats to these guys, because they are very deserving and obviously practicing what they preach! Watch the official video for “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” below and next time you hear it come on the radio, crank it up and get lost!
