Blake Shelton Sure Be Cool If You Did Single Review

Blake Shelton Releases New Single “Sure Be Cool If You Did”: Review. It was shrouded in secrecy and only announced a week or so prior to release, but January 1st saw Blake Shelton release his brand new single, “Sure Be Cool If You Did“. This follows the huge success of his 2011 album “Red River Blue“, with the charting “Honey Bee“, “God Gave Me You“, “Drink On It“, and “Over“, all of which reached #1 on the Billboard Country Charts. To add to that, his 2012 Christmas album, Cheers, It’s Christmas reached #8 on the Billboard 200 and has so far sold around half a million copies, not bad for a Holiday album that’s only been around a couple of months! So after all this success and personally enjoying Red River Blue immensely, I had high expectations for Blake’s new single to start 2013 off with a bang. And it did start off with a bang, if you consider a bang to be not as loud as you thought and trailing off a little at the end. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a solid track, but it’s sincerely lacking where I think for someone who is so talented and successful. Not So Country. The song errs on the side of country pop, with smooth strings and a nice solid guitar and drums unit that is equally smoothed over. This is accompanied by finger snaps, little acoustic guitar licks, a chorus and echo effect on his vocals during the second verse, and lead guitar dropping in every now and then to play the riff. That and the occasional note of steel guitar are the only things which really make me think COUNTRY country, but that’s not really my issue with this because the country charts these days are full of songs that don’t sound as typically country (it’s just a measure of this era in country music). A Little Too Safe. Mainly, I feel that the song is very safe. It’s a nice track, the line ‘and you’re standing in the neon, looking like a high I wanna be on’ is one of my favorite parts of the song for no other reason than it sounds nice the way they’ve constructed it, lyrically and musically. It’s similar to “God Gave Me You“. It’s very smooth, polished, pop with guitars and a touch of twang which was fine in “God Gave Me You” because that was a really catchy, lovely song with a great chorus. This new song is equally as sweet but there’s just something missing for me. Just A Little Boring. It’s not the lyrics, which tell the story of someone falling in love with a girl in a bar, and saying that she doesn’t have to stay, or carry on, but it’d sure be cool if she did. That kind of “I’m a man, I’m so casual… PLEASE COME HOME WITH ME” that I’ve definitely heard before. It depicts how a real man would say it pretty well, and Continue reading Blake Shelton Sure Be Cool If You Did Single Review

The love song, in my opinion, has a very hot, sultry vibe to it. But, it is also sweet and the video takes on that sweet side. “Sometimes the best way to cool off a heated argument is with a well timed kiss,” JB Patterson said in reference to the song. Ray Wylie Hubbard On The Late Show

Ray Wylie Hubbard On The Late Show With David Letterman Tonight. Ray Wylie Hubbard will perform tonight (Wednesday) on the Late Show with David Letterman. His performance is in support of his 2012 album, The Grifter’s Hymnal. According to the Americana Music Chart, the album was the #8 Record of 2012. “This really was a very special record to me. It wasn’t easy, and some of it really was a struggle, but it was fun. I think each record to me has been a struggle in a way, and I like it that way. I like it that they’re all hard to do, because I think that makes them all have more value to me. It makes me kind of reach for a better part of myself. It keeps me from settling.” – Ray Wylie Hubbard Don’t miss Hubbard’s performance on CBS at 11:35 p.m. ET, PT & 10:35 p.m. CT.

The Band Perry Better Dig Two Video

The Band Perry Better Dig Two Video Really Delivers. The second time I ever heard The Band Perry‘s current single, “Better Dig Two” was live at the 2012 CMA Awards, and I have to tell you, it gave me chills. Sure, this song has very similar themes as previous releases like “The Way You Lie” and “If I Die Young“, but it hardly matters because Kimberly Perry really knows how to deliver. Vocally and musically, this is a very powerful song, and this sibling trio isn’t holding back. The video has already garnered over a million views on YouTube alone. Join the crowd and enjoy it below! The Band Perry are set to release a brand new album later this year, release date and title have yet to be announced. Watch: The Band Perry Better Dig Two Official Video. ABC’s Nashville Returns with New Episode This Week

Watch: ABC’s Nashville Sneak Peek. ABC’s hit evening soap opera/musical drama, Nashville, is coming back strong tomorrow night, and we’ve got a sneak peek for you below!! The show took a break for the holidays, which was no biggie because in the meantime we got specials like the CMA Country Christmas! But now, its back, and for those of you who are loving it as much as I am, it looks like things are just gonna keep getting juicier. The tension between Rayna and Juliette keeps building, especially now that they’re working together. There’s more drama to unfold with Rayna’s husband, Teddy, as he continues his bid for mayor, and we don’t really know what’s going on with Deacon just yet (will he hit the road??). The biggest question in my mind though, will Scarlett and Gunnar get together? I guess we’ll just have to tune in to be sure! Watch the preview below! Watch the video for “In The Mean Time” below and catch one of Knight’s upcoming shows when you get the chance!

10 Random Questions with Billy Gilman

Checkin’ In with Billy Gilman with 10 Random Questions! We all remember Billy Gilman from back in 2000 when his song “One Voice” was a top 20 hit on the Billboard Country Music Charts. The Rhode Island native can be found in the Guinness Book Of World Records for the youngest singer to reach No.1 on the top country album chart. His latest song “The Choice” features 18 other country artists including Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire and Leann Rimes. The song is about giving to those who are needy, and each song downloaded will buy 1 pair of shoes for children in need. Gilman has a big voice but an even bigger heart. We caught up with him for our 10 random questions, and this is what he had to say: 1. How have you changed or grown since we first heard you at 11 years old singing “One Voice?” I think between the ages of 12 and the age I am now, which is 24, everyone makes those natural leaps in maturity .I got to see a lot of the world at a very young age, and dealt with more adults in a business sense, so i think I matured at a pretty young age. But also, I really have become more chill. I was always a hyper and very animated kid. Kind of embarrassing when I look back lol. 2. What is your favorite song that you’ve written? I’m proud of them all but of course certain ones stand out. Like The Choice. I’m very proud of that song and the mission it supports. 3. What other artists do you currently listen to? Just downloaded The Lumineer’s new record. It’s great. 4. Where is your favorite place to perform? I think The Grand Ole Opry. There’s something spiritual about it. 5. Any new projects in the works? I have some songs that I am really proud of that will hopefully be heard in early 2013 keep your fingers crossed. At the end of the day I have to believe that the people and companies that release my new music are releasing it because they see the growth and they see the future. Not just a fast dollar. That’s hard to find. 6. Where is your favorite place to eat? I love mom and pop kind of places and home cooked food. I also like to cook so I stay home. In RI I love West Bakery and in Nashville I love Mafiosso’s — I love pizza that’s good. 7. If you could duet with any female artist who would it be? There’s a few I think would be cool to sing with. I have always liked Allison Krauss’ voice. 8. If you could have a superpower what would you pick? To find one good politician. 9. Do you consider yourself trendy? Do you follow clothing trends? Some people say I am, but I don’t feel I am nor try to be. I don’t follow anything — I just Continue reading 10 Random Questions with Billy Gilman
