Black River Entertainment Signs Kellie Pickler. Kellie Pickler has signed with Black River Entertainment, helping to grow the label’s roster. “What’s not to love about Kellie? She’s real, she adores her fans, she’s rooted in and committed to country music and she’s genuine. October Is Country Music Month and CMA Is Ready to Celebrate! We pretty much celebrate Country Music every single day around here at CMNB, but it looks like October is an extra special time for festivities as it has been declared Country Music Month! Since October 1964 the Country Music Association has recognized the month of October as the official month to especially recognize events and institutions of Country Music! “‘Country Music Month’ was created to acknowledge in the city of NASHVILLE, the importance of Country music, what it means to our city, what it means to our country, what it means to us as a city in terms of our economy, our reputation as a center for business and tourism.” – Nashville Mayor Karl Dean Country Music Month culminates in the 46th Annual CMA Awards broadcasting live from the Bridgestone arena in the heart of downtown Nashville on Thursday, November 1st on ABC. Dustin Lynch Gets Key to Hometown

Dustin Lynch Gets A Little Love and A Key From His Hometown! I love how country music artists always get so much love from their hometowns!! And when you’ve got the chance to claim a singer like Dustin Lynch, of course you want to show him some appreciation. Last weekend (Saturday September 29th), Lynch was honored with a “Key To The City” in his hometown of Tullahoma, TN! Dustin headlined the town’s annual “41-A Music Festival”, and was welcomed on stage by Mayor Lane Curlee before his performance and presented with “the key”. Showing his true colors, Lynch responded with humble comment. “This is so awesome and unexpected. I haven’t gotten a chance to come back and play in Tullahoma since this whole thing started, even though I still come home every chance I get to see my family and friends. Just getting to play for my hometown was so special to me – this topped off the night. I’m proud of my hometown and this is something I’ll always treasure.” -Dustin Lynch This is a pretty big deal, especially for someone just kicking off their career. Congrats, Dustin!

Lady Antebellum Concert DVD

Lady Antebellum Releasing New Docu-Style Concert DVD! It’s a bummer, but we can’t always catch our favorite country music performers live. Luckily, for the Lady Antebellum fans that fall into this category the all-star trio will be releasing a special documentary-style concert DVD. It will feature a behind-the-scenes look of their “Own The Night World Tour” with candid footage from the road and live concert footage. A majority of the footage comes from the Little Rock, AR stop (hey-o! Arkansas represent!). With the added bonus of the backstage footage, I’m thinking the DVD would make a pretty good consolation prize (and Christmas present!!) It will release on Tuesday, December 4th.

Luke Byran Releases Steamy Video for Steamy Lyrics of “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye”! Sometimes, I really just need a little Luke Bryan in my day to make things a tiny bit better, and yesterday his new video for “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye” really did the trick. First of all, I really dig this song because I think its one of the best he’s released. Second, with Bryan performing his heart out in some very form fitting jeans, it really made me giggle. Then there are the rather steamy scenes featured throughout that don’t do anyone any harm (and really what can you expect with lyrics like “let’s lay down tonight” and “take off your leavin’ dress/let’s do what we do best”?). ABC’s Nashville Debuts October 10th

ABC Debuts New Series Nashville Next Week! Along with the new Fall season, TV networks bring out their brand new shows, and one new series I am particularly excited about is ABC‘s drama, Nashville! Chronicling what goes on behind the scenes in the country music industry from long time partnerships to family stress and pressure to betrayal and more! Featuring a gorgeous cast including the lovely Hayden Panettiere and the fabulous (and very talented) Connie Britton as series stars, I really think (and hope!) this one is going to be a home run. Nashville Synopsis A fading Nashville superstar is forced to team up with a teen sensation or face the loss of her tour and promotion of her latest records. Why I’ll Be Tuning Into Nashville. 1. The Drama! I love a good story, especially the juicy ones and if the trailer is any indication there are going to be plenty of twists to keep me watching. 2. Connie Britton. Okay, seriously. Who didn’t fall completely in love with Britton when she starred on Friday Night Lights? She is an amazing actress, and not gonna lie here, I’m already rooting for her character over Hayden’s! 3.
